Online Burnout Therapy in English
Persistent exhaustion is not a personal failure. It often shows that demands, inner pressure and available energy have been out of balance for too long.
International enquiries are welcome. Before an appointment is agreed, availability is confirmed according to the rules that apply where you will be located during the session.
Possible signs
When rest no longer feels restorative
Burnout usually develops gradually. People often continue functioning for a long time while mind and body are already sending clear warning signals.
- ongoing fatigue despite sleep or time away from work
- inner restlessness combined with very little energy
- irritability, withdrawal or increasing detachment
- difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- strong performance pressure and difficulty saying no
- physical complaints that do not improve with ordinary rest
Understanding the difficulty
Burnout is more than working too much
External pressure matters, but inner rules can be equally powerful: ‘I must not disappoint anyone’, ‘I have to manage everything alone’ or ‘My value depends on what I achieve’. These patterns may support success for years while gradually exhausting the person who relies on them.
We look at work, relationships, personal values, boundaries and long-standing drivers together. It is also important to consider medical causes and whether depression or another condition requires additional assessment.
Therapeutic work
From functioning to sustainable change
First, we create a realistic picture of demands, resources and opportunities for recovery. We identify warning signs and develop concrete steps that reduce pressure without ignoring the underlying causes.
Further work may address perfectionism, self-worth, responsibility, boundaries and difficult professional decisions. The goal is not to return you quickly to the same limits, but to build a more sustainable way of living and working.
Frequently asked questions
What you may want to know.
Is burnout a medical diagnosis?
The term describes a serious state of exhaustion but can overlap with different psychological and physical conditions. Careful assessment and, where appropriate, medical clarification are important.
Do I need to leave my job immediately?
Not necessarily. We first examine which changes are urgently needed and which longer-term decisions make sense. Major decisions are prepared rather than rushed.
Can online therapy help when I am severely exhausted?
The online format removes travel and can therefore reduce strain. In a severe crisis, when daily functioning is no longer secure, more intensive local care may be necessary.
A first step
Would you like to discuss whether this is right for you?
This practice does not provide emergency care. If you or somebody else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or a crisis service where you are located.
